short bio & statement: Catalina Piedrahita is a multidisciplinary artist born in Colombia. She studied visual arts in the United States and Spain, and currently resides and produces her work in la Región de Murcia (Spain).
Piedrahita’s artistic practice is reflective, manifesting in her work mental and emotional processes which she intentionally transforms from awareness into action. The artist’s practice itself becomes a cognitive exercise that facilitates her thought reformulation and emotional release.
Catalina Piedrahita is also the co-founder of Blanco Diáfano, a contemporary artists association focused on emerging art practices.
